Balmoral Factory

Balmoral Knitwear has been producing garments at its factory in Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland for over 100 years. We employ 90 staff, manufacturing classic garments. The company offers an extensive and in-depth stock range as well as the capacity to manufacture to customer's own specifications. We are very experienced in embroidery. A variety of yarn qualities are used, including modern technological ones, giving a variety of textures and handles for different types of customers and markets.

We continually invest in new technology and machinery to bring to our customers the very latest advances in textiles.

Balmoral Knitwear offers an embroidery service that can add a logo or design and lettering to personalise garments.	Our automated knitting machines produce up to 12 dozen garments per day, in panels and sleeves.
Seams of our garments are overlocked by our team of 6 overlockers. No need for pinning for these girls, they overlock approximately 2 dozen garments per hour each.	Our factory has large modern steam presses which work like a conveyor belt moving the garment to be pressed along under a jet of steam released automatically.
